Fastest Way To Start Making Money Online

If there is one thing I wish I would’ve done sooner it would have to be affiliate marketing. I honestly do not know of a faster way to get into the online business game than to sell something that is already selling.

I started providing a service offline, therefore my main priority at the time was to merely generate leads. It never occurred to me that I was building a list of people interested in a subject and that there were plenty other things I could have sold them even if they didn’t use my services…

So don’t make that mistake and do this…

Go to clickbank and towards the top there is a link that says marketplace. When you click there, it will take you to a page where you can choose from thousands of products which you can promote. If you already have a business in mind, then simply browse by categories and find what related products are already selling.

If you don’t have a business idea in mind then browse by category and choose something you like. If you like photography and know all about the new Nikon D-series cameras and can talk for days about it, then go to arts and entertainment and browse for stuff that already selling on photography.

If you like dogs and know a thing or two about getting a dog potty trained or whatever, then go to home & garden and browse stuff on animal care & pets…

But what if you don’t know anything about anything and perhaps even flunked English 101… heck, didn’t even get a GED…

That’s OK… I know someone who dropped out of high school and is making a lot of money online in a topic he knew nothing about when he started. He went to Clickbank and instead of finding something he loved, he followed approach #2… which is to find products that are being sold the most and choose from there…

The way to do it is by clicking on advanced search and searching for products with a gravity above 50 or 100. What gravity means is a scale used to measure how many affiliates are promoting the product. If many affiliates are selling the product then it means the product is in demand and you’ll likely sell as long as you send targeted traffic.

This has a drawback however… it also means that there is more competition so if you are brand new, then try to stick somewhere in the middle.

Going back to knowing nothing about a subject, once you find a product and you know nothing about the subject, then a good way to build content and get traffic is by interviewing people who do know about the subject.

What my friend did was visit forums with people who were knowledgeable in the subject and asked them questions, then he would write a blog post or make a video based on what he learned from the interview. Sometimes he was able to get people on skype and recorded the call with Camtasia and posted that video (with permission of course) and that’s how he built traffic.

He knew nothing about the subject, yet that didn’t stop him from going out and kicking butt online.

So here’s the deal…

If you are brand new to marketing, all you gotta do is learn to drive traffic. Products like these have already been created and you get 50-70% of the profits from the sale!! Not to mention they will take care of any customer service issues and product fulfillment… you do nothing! (other than drive traffic, of course)… and did I mention that creating an account with Clickbank is FREE…

Then, if you do have a business in mind and there is products similar to what you have to create, you’ve essentially built up the hardest part of the business which is the traffic.

So here’s the best tip I could ever give anyone doing affiliate marketing. When you find a product to promote, go buy a domain name or create a subdomain name if you already have one. Then use that domain to forward to your affiliate link…

That way, when you are ready to create your own product and you have all these videos, blog posts, articles, banners, etc. then all you have to do is change the settings on the domain name to point to your new sales page instead of the affiliate product…

I don’t know if you understand the power of affiliate marketing and how almost nothing can get anyone into the online money making habit many of us have as fast as this…

If you have a blog, this is also a good way to monetize it in addition to selling advertising space, or using AdSense which I’ll probably talk about in more detail in a different post… and there are many other affiliate networks like paydotcom.com and cj.com (commission junction) and many others…

Let me summarize it… find a product that’s already selling, go sell it, then create a better product, and a better sales funnel and you’ll be on your way to heaven…
